The SPCA for Monterey County worked with Lisa Bennett and the Cornerstone Group as we assessed our readiness for a major capital campaign. Lisa expertly guided the SPCA through a feasibility study involving individual meetings with more than 40 families and foundations. Lisa's feasibility study confirmed that we could successfully launch a capital campaign and identified several donors that would commit to six-figure gifts. The campaign raised nearly $14,000,000 - slightly more than what Lisa's research determined we could raise. The feasibility study and Lisa's recommendations gave us the confidence we needed to successfully conduct our campaign in spite of the economic downturn in 2006 - 2014

Lisa’s recommendation prompted us to proceed with our capital campaign, even when others said the timing was wrong. Her encouragement and counsel enabled us to exceed our goals within our established time frame.

Bennett has imparted to me and my staff an understanding of the systematic steps required for a successful individual donor campaign. She is the consummate professional: ethical, competent, meticulous, organized, and congenial. She brings a wealth of experience in the field of development and works hard to tailor campaigns which suit the need of her clients.
Ms. Bennett does not enter a program with a set agenda. Instead, she works closely with clients, making inquiries about a program’s history, day-to-day operations, future goals. She listens to staff ideas before drawing up recommendations for an effective development plan.
